The beauty of an indoor-outdoor venue is its versatility, and many venues like ours will feature that aspect to visitors. One thing they don’t have: a secluded, scenic chapel in the woods. Our gorgeous hidden chapel is the star of our venue when we have wedding couples touring. For those who want the beauty of nature during their ceremony while still being close to the reception site, this is their dream come true.
Take a stroll down the pathway behind our venue and you’ll come across this beautiful space. As with all outdoor events, weather is always a factor couples have to consider. The paved walkway keeps white dresses and dress shoes safe from mud. Tents are also available for rent if you choose that route.
When decorating the chapel, our couples have many options. The long pathway into the chapel allows some creative space to welcome your guests to the ceremony. Our individual chairs allow you to choose how many will sit in a row, and you can move them up or down the levels as needed. Even more special: our arbor actually has a unique link to Hastings’ history; it’s made from the famous spiral bridge, which was demolished in the 1950s. Here are a few different ways couples have decorated it for their ceremonies:

Once you move your guests from the ceremony to your reception in the main building, you can still enjoy the fresh air by opening up the large garage-style doors. As shown in the photo below, we also have grounds around the patio that can be used for outdoor games so your guests will have something to do while waiting for dinner.
Our ballroom, under normal circumstances, allows 300 people when the garage doors onto the patio are closed. Our venue is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful weather while accommodating guests so they can feel comfortable. We are offering in-person and virtual tours—check out our digital resources here.
